New Direction

I would like to take this time to let you know my donation website is now headed in a new direction. Previously, the donations from this website were given to my causes - Arthritis Foundation and Childrens Miracle Network. They will now be given to a new non-profit organization - the Pittsburgh Scholarship Pageants!

The Pittsburgh Pageants Scholarship Organization is a non-profit scholarship entity created to encourage and support the altruistic endeavors and achievements of the Miss America Scholarship Program. The organization is designed to foster the scholastic aspirations of its pageant participants, and to promote and broaden local, state and national community service outreach programs - including the Children's Miracle Network.

The Miss America Organization is one of the nation’s leading achievement programs and the world’s largest provider of scholarship assistance for young women. Last year, the Miss America Organization and its state and local organizations made available more than $45 million in cash and scholarship assistance.

Elyse Healey, another former title holder, and myself are the new executive directors. This is a volunteer position. We are working hard to put on this pageant which will give away the title Miss Three Rivers, Miss Riverview, and Miss Three Rivers Outstanding Teen. These young ladies will then go on to compete for Miss Pennsylvania and Miss Pennsylvania's Outstanding Teen. The winners of those pageants will represent the state of Pennsylvania as they compete for the title of Miss America and Miss America's Outstanding Teen.

Fundraising and donations are very important to keep this wonderful organization going. Every little bit helps! Our expenses include everything needed to host and conduct the pageant, as well as the scholarship awards given away! We are always looking for sponsors and donations! Please help us to give back to an organization that has helped so many women achieve their dreams and succeed in life!

I would like to thank everyone who donated to my team for the Western PA Arthritis Walk! I set a goal of $250 and surpassed it by raising $355 thanks to all of you! Raffle Update

Max supports the cause! Talbot attended the Art for Arthritis event last November and always donates and signs items to help make a difference. Money has been coming in for the raffle, but not enough! The Pens just moved on in the play offs and Max has been doing great.
